The National Policy on Equalisation
of Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities |
The formulation of the Draft National Disability
Policy in 2002, which is awaiting government’s approval, will
play a pivotal role in offering the necessary guidelines to the
Ministry of Persons with Disabilities, as it strives to carry out
its mandate. To achieve its mandate, the ministry needs a proper
tool providing details of its tasks and time frame to ensure timely
achievement of its objectives. This led to the advent of this three
- year Strategic Plan (2004 - 2007) which expired February 2007.
